Past summer ('07) we had a great 19-day holiday in Greece!! In all those days we've visited Athens & 7! islands : Paros & Antiparos Syros Amorgos Naxos Mykonos and Tinos in Athens we stayed @ [ Aimilios' place and family, wherefore again and also in this way many many thanks! ] We've now better than before experienced that Greek hospitality is top & outstanding! :-) photo's sooner or later ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi there, I am Emiel A/S/L? : 23yrs/Male/Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I'm in the 5th year of my study medicines, but currently taking a half year break. Here to learn : ** more about photography and advance to a higher level of shooting & post-processing. * 'something' of the world ["Photography" history] I started with the camera's of my parents when I was young. They learned me a few basics. In the beginning photo's were moved/unsharp. Ofcourse miss-shots we're payed at development. When I was a bit older I was allowed to shoot more with a film compact. I always centered the subject untill I got my own camera.. This happened in Juli '05. I bought my first (digital) camera, because it was small, attractive and the tests were good. It's a Canon Ixus 50, still have it now. I started doing more & more with it if I had good oppurtunities. Highlight for me was my holiday '05 on Zakynthos, an island I fell in love with. August '06 : Since then I'm the owner of a Pentax K100D, which was a brand new dSLR from Pentax, back then only recently introduced in Europe. I was probably one of the very first owners in Holland. Cool huh!? I've made lot's of photo's with it on Lefkada, Kefalonia & Ithaki that month, trying out the camera..and what I can do with it.. June 07' Upgrade to K10D. [Travel, countries & TE] I love Greece! All the unique islands; we (my girl & me) like to explore them. On TE I can see wonderful photo's from different islands (+ mainland) from home, which I enjoy. Also like to view photo's from other countries, and obtain some travel idea's for later! We would like to travel farther away, but we save it for after our studies, for now it's too expensive to go outside Europe. (restricted to high season) So we stay with Greece. Which is far from bad at all!! ;) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [How I 'work' on TE] I do : * try to 'answer' your critiques on my photo's with 1 or more critiques in return. I think when you spend time on one of my photo's, your photo's deserve the same attention..that's quite fair..isn't it? * critique honestly, trying to be kind at the same time. * critique extensively most of the times, I will write what I like and/or what I don't like or where points for improvement may lie, everything just based on my own views on your photo. My view is ofcourse not superior! :) * thus not hesitate to use the two smileys other than the deep green "great" smiley :) * not like to do the : "nice colours, good composition" critique...which is not a real critique but merely just a comment.
