| Intro: | I am an amateur photographer living in Liverpool,England, born 1950; my profile photo was taken in Costa Rica. Until 2001 I worked as a software engineer for a telecommunications company, when the company got into trouble and offered me voluntary redundancy which I accepted, and so I am now retired. I have quite enjoyed photography for almost as long as I can remember, but my interest got a boost when I bought my first SLR, a Practica LB, in the 1970's. I was fascinated by the way the viewfinder shows exactly what it sees, regardless of the lens or other optical equipment it is attached to. A year ago I bought my first digital camera, an EOS 400D, and I love the instant feedback of the results and the greater versatility. My main subjects are landscapes, wildlife, garden and wildflowers, and action. | |
