Noise reduction quite often makes the picture 1. too soft or 2. too much contrast, or 3. both.

I used noise ninja photoshop plugin. I profiled the image on noise reduction in mainly the sky. Put the reduction high (15/20), but the softness very low (3/20).
Next to that, also the contrast very low (6/20), because sharp contrast does also absorb little details in the ice.

I really liked your photo , just thought I'ld see how it looked running it through the corel, noise removal. then sharpened it just a tad after. :o) HOpe you don't mind.

I took your photo and gave it a shadow highlight adjustment which brought out a few more details out of the shadows here. Hope you like it.. cheers Paul

I've increased saturation and sharpness (and some dusk reduction after saturating). That's all! I hope you like it!

Photoshop CS2 has a shadow highlight feature that allows one to lighten the dark shadows a little to bring some details up for viewing. Hope you like it. Cheers Andrew!
