| Intro: | I am a pure amateur in the original sense of the word - I just LOVE taking pictures, especially when I'm travelling. I enjoy being surrounded by nature and I always try to hold on to those precious moments by taking pictures. I finally got myself a digital camera (a wonderful Panasonic Lumix TZ2) after my old, non-digital one refused to work properly a while ago. As you will probably notice in my photos, I am still experimenting and, unfortunately, don't have a very good photoshop software to resize my pictures. But my aim is mostly to capture the beauty of the moment so I can remember it later, and not aspire to be a professional photographer. I do, however, notice a higher quality in my digital photos compared to the old, scanned ones. I love to travel in North America, mostly Canada's beautiful Eastern provinces and the Southwest of the United States. That's why most of my photos will be from those areas. But you'll also find some that were taken in my hometown of Passau and in Munich where I live now. I appreciate your comments and ideas how to improve my photos, but most of all I enjoy sharing my pictures in the hopes of showing others the beauty of nature. | |
