When taking pictures the most important thing for me is to have some kind of 'rapport', a connection to what I am photographing, so my favourite genre probably is portraits.
Although my main photographical interest is human culture, on the odd day I can appreciate a good nature shot too.
I'm not the most technical of photographers. I'm a believer in serendipity: the art of finding something you're not looking for.

When travelling we go very slow to really take in the places we visit, always travelling with a minimum of luggage and a maximum of goodwill.
Our favourite travel destinations are mainly in the Far-East, with China taking a special place in our hearts.
And 'we' that's me, my wife and our daughter, who shares our passion for travelling, music and good food.
