| Intro: | Hello All Two Years in this site...time for a new Intro. I am Indian, a full blooded Bengali from Kolkata (Calcutta), a banker, now based out of New Delhi. I chanced upon this site while looking for pictures of Cambodia & Lao in Nov. 2005. I did not have a digital camera then, but I was hooked with the wealth of pictures & information this site had to offer. As soon as I was back from the Cambodia-Lao PDR trip, I uploaded my first picture. The journey continues. I still am very much in the lower reaches of photographic abilities, but I am eager to learn & two years on, I can state with conviction - the learning I had from this site is immense. Whether I have been able to assimilate my learnings in my pictures, would be for you to judge. There's a lot of joy I get sharing my pictures in this site, of places where I live and travel. Most of my photographs would be from my country & if even a single person feels inspired to visit India by seeing my photographs, I guess that would be my greatest reward. And yes, your valued feedback has been instrumental in making me a slightly better photographer (I hope) than I was two years ago, and there’s nothing more I want but good constructive critiques. In my opinion, the number of points do not necessarily reflect the quality of a photograph here in this site, certainly not for many of mine. Please do not hesitate in making harsh, scathing comments on my pictures; for me, they are much more valuable than the smileys. From my part, I tend to write critiques in a constructive manner, trying to analyse a photograph to the best of my abilities; that's part of my learning as well. The learning curve is steep & therein lies the challenge.
