- Photography was an accident.
In my profession as a writer, I did not think anything else could excite me more than the written word, until I had to buy a camera to supplement my work.
After less than a year of mucking around with my Olympus SP500UZ, I'm hopelessly hooked. These days, I lug it everywhere, never mind if large backpacks are no longer fashionable.
With no professional training (William Hung, any one?) except for one brief stint with a veteran photographer in Petaling Street, I decided to take a leap of faith and expose my shots, mediocre or otherwise, to the world. After all, how else can one learn?
It may be too early for me to draw a conclusion, but Trekearth seems like a warm and friendly community, its members driven by a singular passion for photography rather than any self-serving interests.
