In Photoshop, did auto level first, then moved the middle tones to the right. Added a bit more contrast. Then made the curve a gentle sinusoidal around the linear region. Gentle sharpening.

brightness + 25
contrast + 12
saturation + 20

This scan in oryginal version has a bit unnatural colors, so I decided to upload as a main photo in b&w, and here version to compare.
I tried to correct color balans in PS, so maybe you will like it a little more :)

WS works include:
- cropping, to alter composition
- color adjustments: saturation
- sharpening
- Adding matching color frame
