Hi Dan,

Here is a straight conversion of the RAW image without any adjustment or sharpening applied. As you know doubt know RAWs always look a little dull because all the in-camera processing software is turned off, giving all the control to the photographer. To test this its a good idea to apply the RAW/JPEG setting on your 5D so it takes one of each for a shot and then compare the two. Basically, you then use the software to match your RAW image to the jpeg image.

As mentioned in my note I will adjust curves, saturation and contrast in the raw processing software. Then I will use Photoshop to clone out any dust specks. I will finally resize image for uploading on the net and at the same time apply some sharpening.

Adam,
I used photoshop to slightly tweak the color balance (did you use a UV filter when you took the picture?). I also sharpened it slightly. I really like the picture, especially the composition. The only thing that I might change would be to include more of the waterfall, placing the horizontal trees a little lower (think 'rule of thirds'). Overall, very well done. Very nice.

I just raised the contrast and use a unsharp mask. Hope you like.
