Sellers setting up their stalls. I asked for 2 lemons but my request was misunderstood as the man thought I meant 2 kilograms. I learned later it is rather unusual to buy just a few items rather than large bags of fruit in the bazaars. After much explaining I still received a bag of lemons – less than 2 kg but still more than two pieces – free of charge. As a form of payment I took photos of the sellers… ;)
I’ve heard about water shortages in Kurdistan and suspect this stall has something to do with that. I looked at the internet in search of more information about that problem as well as the function of those large water containers and stalls but so far I haven’t found out much about it.
This man asked me to take his photo and wanted to pay me afterwards. Even though the images was on my camera and he had only seen it once.
