This is a surreal picture :) I look at it and your title makes absolutely perfect sense as these do look like electric trees, even though I don't know what they are! Very cool sense to capture this and make such a great title.

I like the variety of colors, both in the facades of the buildings at left and the people in the street with their red, yellow. pink, purple and blue attire, amongst others. The people almost appear to be competing against the buildings! Good sharpness and excellent colour and saturation. Nice repetition of the vertical lines of the buildings. The power-lines are everywhere! The street with a dip at right adds lead in lines and perspective. Tfs.

What a picturesque setting for this small chapel! This would make me actually want to attend, if for nothing else, to soak up the scenery and sea. :)
Tucked away into a cozy corner, this looks incredibly inviting, and as you mention in the title itself, quite charming. Fresh, bright and filled with scenic beauty. Very nicely presented. Hope all is well. Take care.

I still have not been to Bulgaria. One of these days I will get there. A superb daily life scene from Sofia, with the colorful cardboard boxes in yellow and blue and the books adding to the palette. The cyclist at left animates the scene and provides scale. I would hate to be the salesperson if a rainstorm were coming! He would have to quickly move all the books inside! Tfs.

You know how much I like this one...and all of 'em of course, but this certainly is the show stealer for me. :)
I wouldn't be able to pass this up either! Funny how the mindset changes over time, eh? :) I think both of us would have overlooked an opportunity like this not that many years ago. Having the inclusion of this gentleman is key to bringing it all together, regardles of whether or not those are his materials.
A simple scene by nature, but one that tells, or can create a story of your own imagination. Great observation and lots of neat details and rustic textures to enjoy in this shot. Outstanding take of a "routine" moment on the streets! Hope you've been able to re-adjust to the work life routine. lol Have a good one bud.Take it easy.
Cheers from down South,

Unless the tripod is screwed onto solid bedrock, I would never leave the camera if a wave came in. I would rather get wet than have to pay $1000 for a new camera. I slipped and fell in Istanbul museum, and although my ankle was sprained, I cushioned and protected my camera as I fell. The camera was fine! I like the soft pastel colors and the repetition of the seagulls. Good sharpness and well framed. Tfs.

This one from your random gallery caught my eye. The yellow colour of the fg flowers contrasts nicely against the bg blue sky. Good sharpness and the city skyline makes a fine backdrop. A terrific high pov overlooking the city with good sharpness and a pleasant wide angled panoramic view. Tfs.

Heartbreaking to see the images on t.v. and knowing the loss of life and history from the earthquake. Your pictures can at least keep in mind what was for many of these places with fond memories, a record of the past, despite the current conditions.
An impressive site no doubt, and we all hope and pray for a quick recovery. Thank you for sharing these photos, it's our small way of supporting those affected. Hope all has been well. Take good care.
Friendly wishes from the desert,

Nice repetition of the red and yellow flowerpots, which also add a nice warm cold colour contrast against the faint grey white blue colours in the bg wall. Excellent textural and tonal details in the bg wall too. Exposure on the highlights is ideal. The dark frame of the window adds a nice graphic element. Tfs.

How are you doing? I've enjoyed being able to follow along with your pictures from Japan that you've posted here. This is definitely one of my favorites, i love these types of "every day" scenes. So much authenticity and character outside of the usual and more popular tourist spots...although, I'm always a sucker for those too. :)
This tells a simple story of a local man going about his daily affairs, and I applaud him for still riding a bike...he's doing much better than myself. lol
Many details and a fun visual snapshot of a day in the life. Very well constructed and timed perfectly to capture this moment. Hope everything is going good on your side of the world. :) Take it easy. All the best.
Cheers from Phoenix,

I have never been there so this wide angled view from a high vantage point gives a good overview of the city. The confluence of the 2 rivers adds interest. Good sharpness with nice, subtle reflections. The 5 or 6 bridges spanning the 2 streams add repetition to the shot. Excellent sharpness and well framed and composed. The low, flat, covered tour boat adds a fg focal point. Tfs.

Punchy light contrasts and ideal saturation as well as good clean whites with solid blacks, on account of the perfect density levels and exposure level. Good framing and composition with plenty of breathing space right around. Excellent sharpness and to top it all off, it's an interesting building. The red brick building at left contrasts well against the blue sky. Tfs.

Buona serata,Luciano

My condolences to the people of Nepal, India, Bangladesh and China, all of which lost citizens in the recent earthquake. Here I like the repetition of the prayer flags and the 2 silhouetted and relaxed men seated in the fg. Good textural details in the rough hewn fg stone pavement. Tfs.
