always fun to see these comical hot air balloons flying high up in the air. I guess this one is a simple clown face, but it also has a hint of creepyness to it too haha
good to have all that blue surrounding it for contrast.

not too abstract for me!
In fact, I wish we could see more and more of these abstract images on TE.
this is almost like having 30 photos in 1, lots of images and shapes and distortions going on - what's not to like right?
fun and interesting

yeah, good thing you went for a walk along the promenade after the boat ride - it paid off well with this unique city view.
how often do we get to see a colorful lego building like this just sitting around. and it makes me wonder how it looks at night too, i bet it lights up like a Christmas Tree!
Keep an eye out for more Bergen shots, I'll post one soon.

superb close portrait, it couldn't be closer :). The guy looks very friendly. I do not like such teeth after betel chewing, even worse is when they spit :), but it makes the picture more interesting. What an expression.

at first glance I thought this was taken in Lofoten, haha
for obvious reasons the people scattered all about make up alot of the visual interest, and the mountains in the bg cap it off so well.
nothing to complain about in this shot!

Yes, very much in the style and theme of Jean Jacques' most recent pictures from Troyes, this photograph from Vannes is also striking and beautiful.
And what really makes this photograph so special for me is the dappled light and shade on the façade of the building, presumably on account of nearby trees, and this adds interest as well as bringing out the textures and colours of those walls so vibrantly.
Gorgeous light and colours, a fine composition and exquisite details and clarity.

You have shown us this famous lighthouse before, but each time from a different angle and with a different and interesting composition. This time you have chosen a lower viewpoint so that we only see a small glimpse of the bridge but we do, as you say, see below the lighthouse the open jaws of some huge sea creature emerging from the waves!
Your composition is excellent, the light is lovely and the details and sharpness are superb. But what I love most is the gorgeous colour and textures in that lovely rose coloured granite for which the area around Ploumanac'h is so famous.

amazing quality of the scan! I have to really struggle to get something out of my old prints or negatives.
Watching this charming scene as well as pics often presented by holmertz I learn to appreciate more the presence of people in photos. Here as well the old cars add such a nice touch! And I always complain so much when the cars are blocking my main view.
Very well done, thanks for sharing!

I have heard about this luxurious hotel somewhere else already. It looks very impressive indeed. Beautiful presentation here with quite challenging but extraordinary light -the final effect is stunning with great dark clouds and the vivid reflection in the foreground. This castle is really huge! How could I have missed it! Great place to stay if one wants to explore beautiful County Mayo :)

I do remember the photos of this sculpture on the Trekearth. You are right, perhaps they were taken from another side.
By the way, it is very attractive daily life photo with a lot of amazing details. The reflection is superb!
Have a nice week ahead!

Your note sounds very contrast with the weather behind my window. We have two rainy months, the constant grey sky and cool weather. It's not the summer. And somewhere in California...
Excellent view, good combination of the construction and the nature.
Have a great new week ahead!
