This is so incredible Gosia. The sumptuous details are mind-boggling in their fineness and beauty. Your shot inspires awe and I cannot begin to imagine how it must feel to actually walk here and take in the ambience. Beautiful shot where the lines lead to the illuminated fresco in the distance. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Jean - Now this is an impressive view. I don't think I have ever seen a shot like this where the canals have taken on a secondary importance as we look across the roof tops to the mountains beyond. Top class and original. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Noel - This is a riot of colour and an unusual but very effective composition and capture of a church interior. The statue is brimming with pathos and although not at all to my taste is captured really well, every crease and drape in the robes are clearly visible. Placing the stature off-centre was a masterstroke allowing the decorative and architectural details to complete the scene. Lovely work. Warm regards Rosemary

A strong set of colours arranged in a square format which encourages the eye to move throughout the composition. Perfect for this style of detail shot where there is no specific FP. Well balanced shot Jean Jacques and I am pleased you too were 'well-balanced' when you took this and did not fall in the canal! Have a lovely evening Rosemary

I haven't seen this from the water but I have seen it from the road. We took an evening stroll from our hotel and saw this lit up like a funfair, quite incredible! It's great to see it from this POV and in its entirety. TFS this one Stephen, a nicely presented and strange site indeed! Have a good evening Rosemary

Hello Aamer - You have captured the early evening atmosphere convincingly, the detail is fabulous and I can imagine myself watching the passing people as they make their way homeward after a day's work. I love the composition with the large tree in the FG, the graveyard on one side and the road on the other. A beautiful sky completes are really special shot. A pleasure to see. Warm regards rosemary

Warm early morning light just floods this scene Lisa. I don't think I have ever seen such a display of red/orange/yellows anywhere. The buildings themselves seem to glow with an inner energy. Breathtaking cityscape the details of which are secondary to the atmosphere. Warm regards rosemary

Bonjour Patrick - Lucky you with your nice new Nikon 800, I see it has great reviews and I'm sure you must be really pleased with it. I like the shot. The colour of the sail is a real eye-grabber but more than that I like the airy open atmosphere you have captured here. The positioning of the sand yacht is good following the line described by the meeting of the wet and dry sand and creating a sweep of movement. Very nice first post with you toy! Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Aleksandar - You made the most of the light which has brought out the fresh acid greens of the young plants and revealed the curves in the planting very well. I like the way you have included the FG furrows which run at an angle to the main compositional lines. The fringe of tree trucks completes an attractive shot. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Takero - Well one thing is for sure, I would hate to be caught up in a rugby scrum; these men look totally fearless and very determined to get possession of that ball. An excellent action shot..... my husband is also a big rugby fan but he prefers soccer.

Rosemary

Hello Graham - Not a subject everyone would choose but you have approached it with creative freedom. The vertical framing has provided you with a strong graphic composition where the lines radiate out to all edges and corners of the frame giving the feel of movement and keeping the eyes occupied. I like the idea of the vignette but wonder whether a more oval shaped toning would work better. Warm regards and TFS Rosemary

Hello Robert - I find the light and contrast here quite beautiful. The darker tones of the shot are wonderfully punctuated by the crisp whites and the small splashes of red are a powerful aspect of the composition as they lead the eye diagonally across the shot. Super. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Chris - The light reflecting off the tiled cylinder gives an almost liquid look which I find attractive. Add in the translucent umbrellas, graphic grid pattern and the hanging ladder and you have a strange but wonderful composition. Fascinating shot with fine detailing and lots to explore. Hello Wolfgang - A clever shot, the neat rows of B&W portraits with their 'upright' sitters make an interesting feature and contrast of styles to the portrait of the man you have presented. The red and blue add excellent colour blocks which enliven the composition. Super. warm regards Rosemary

Hello Kari - There is a lovely gentle quality to the light here; the colours on the cliffs and water are so subtle and soft. I like them very much. The colourful houses look beautiful clustered at the water's edge; I can only imagine how life must have been without a road into the village. From here it still looks remote and almost inaccessible. The finishing touch to this shot is the gulls, they add a liveliness the the tranquility of the scene. Very attractive. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Denis - This a a gorgeous view; perfectly composed with an excellent POV. I like the way you have positioned the fort off centre, in the middle section of your shot. The sweep of the beaches lead the eye both to it and beyond leading, eventually to the distant hills. Attractive shot with excellent management and a lovely summery feel. Warm regards Rosemary
