man you like shooting directly into the sunlight! you're going to burn your retinas out man! haha
as you say, this must be a very somber place, but well worth the visit for sure.
I wish I had bright blue skies and sunlight when I was in Dublin! this is awesome, a great day for photos.
love the silhouette and the tower. easy to see why you'd come here again and again. keep posting more from here.

I really like it when you post these scenes.
too bad you couldn't capture more of the balloons up top of the frame, that would have made it even better.
love the illumination, the lights, the colours, the contrast with the black surroundings. beautiful

before clicking on the photo I guessed it was Montreal...and I was right :)
we don't get to see many photos like this of Montreal, lets hope you can show us more.
i like the various shapes and styles of architecture here, modern and classical. fine lighting and exposure too.

oh i like these types of scenes.
seeing this I should post mine.
this proves my theory that marina's have so much to offer to us photographers. and this shows your skill and creativity as well. think about it...how many people with a camera in hand would compose this image...not many. good on you. and the final result is excellent. this is the view we'd see once we've had a few too many beers :)

mother nature at her best, i love these types of scenes.
its so cool to see how the ice covers the twigs like that.
and your choice of making it full frame like that works well too. fun shot. cheers

funny how you mention so many ways that this fountain has been featured, but i've never seen it before! haha, maybe i am blind :)
and is the water always blowing this tall all the time? thats really high, and must use alot of power. I wonder why they want it spraying so high like that. its very pretty though. good to see it, makes me think of Geneva in a different way. cool post

good write up! and now that you mentioned the prison, can you imagine what the conditions are in there! That would be a must see in my mind!
interesting to hear the history of these house boats, and as touristy as it may be today, yeah I think i'd spend a night in one too.
I like the history here, the story and the gritty nature of the photo in the house boats with all that wood. sweet

yeah this is certainly one of those cities I missed when I was in Poland.
Looks like this wall is in need of some repair, but then again thats part of its attraction too. I like that you included parts of the stone on the ground, why not add even more textures right! thanks for this one. gritty and full of grime. cheers
