I have suspicion that the most people do not read any notes. I always read the personal notes but skip when they just the copy and paste from Wikipedia. The note about Pablo Escobar was very interesting and you are right that without it you could not understand the meaning. But enough to write the standard frazes to give smileys.
In my post I from Basel I gave a link to the short movie. The attraction was that the fountain was in movement. But who took the effort to see it??
Marvelous picture, so many Boteros just in one place. I would love to see it. Superb composition and all that.

hmmm....i don't think i've seen this POV of Bruges before.
and wow, you couldn't have asked for better lighting conditions and better weather. this is perfect.
really like the way the composition flows, making the buildings wrap around the frame. and that blue skyline is fantastic. super shot, so attractive and easy on the eyes.

wow, honestly, all 3 photos could easily be main posts.
love the house and love the mother with her child. wonderful shots and culturally educational for me.
I guess they don't have washing machines do they :)
they have to do it the old fashioned way. interesting to see her attire and the surrounding landscape the homes are built upon. so much to like and appreciate in these 3 photos. cheers

cool to see a new modern side in Poland :)
I bet there are so many interesting compositions to be had here, especially with a wide angle lens. love the long steps on the far right and the rust colour sideing. this is a place to be explored! love it. cheers

I remember viewing this one, and I thought i had already given it 2 points, but I guess I didn't.
I think the best part of the scene, or the most important, is the long lead in lines from the steps. creates depth and takes us to the statue itself. and the cool looking skyline in grey looks neat, giving us a surreal type of effect. beauty! cheers

oh man, you're killing me here! I'm so jealous haha
wish I could have the opportunity to photograph a scene like this one. Look how large that flag is on the right too!
the composition is perfect, the tall ship taking up the frame is perfect. wonderful subject, excellent exposure and lighting. cheers

looking at the scene I can't help but wonder how this same place looks in the winter months. But I always think that about Switzerland.
smart use of the tree branches, and the angular lines across the frame are smart looking too. but the main focal point has to be the S shaped road lines. sweet shot, easy to enjoy it as it flows naturally. cheers

excellent note. I've watched the Netflix series on Pablo Escobar, so i'm familiar with this story and his exploits.
its amazing to see how 1 man can earn so much and control so much and be so powerful.
great to know that this city is now on the travel map, and that its safe. love the story, love the note, love the fact you're showing this. cheers

how could I not like this one? this is awesome.
beautiful and smart looking reflections across the frame. and i like how the buildings are modern and sleek looking too.
very cool blue tones from top to bottom. wonderful shot
macjake (72419) 2017-03-22 22:27
I love how these reflection shots are so simple, yet so attractive and pleasing to the eye. We are drawn to them as photographers like bees to honey. We can't help ourselves :)
Neat how the reflected image is duller in colour, less saturated in colour, and its normal and natural. lovely light all around. cheers

I like how when we look around the scene, there are 3 sets of people seemingly having that small talk. Its as if they're whispering in secret.
but obviously the attractive lady in the fg is the star of the show, her genuine smile is so addictive. a lovely spontaneous moment well captured. cheers

really like the misty air here, that low laying fog gives alot of atmosphere to your scene. Also, the frost on the grass is equally attractive. and how often do we get the birds in flight like that? very cool, well executed.
macjake (72419) 2017-03-22 22:14
one of your best shots in my opinion :)
love the low point of view you took the photo at, looking upwards. so dramatic, so powerful. the black sky is what makes everything POP for contrast. love the yellow colours in the tower too. and yes, it does have a Roman type of feel to it. awesome work my friend! cheers
macjake (72419) 2017-03-22 22:11
this is so Canadian :)
this is something I think most of us living here can relate to on one level or another. We've all been there shoveling snow off the driveway and off our cars. Lucky for you the guy here is wearing a bright red jacket to make the scene come alive a bit. funny post. cheers
macjake (72419) 2017-03-22 22:09
easy to like this one my friend.
I like how you got up so close to him, he's basically taking up the entire frame. and I like his facial expression, I think thats the best part :)
Its great how the bg building is on a slight tilt as well.
fine post, very eye catching. cheers
macjake (72419) 2017-03-22 22:06
another attractive shot from the island.
the large ship really makes a strong impact with that blue streak and little brown streak shooting across it.
cool popcorn sort of clouds too, along with the bright light.
whats not to like! cheers
