I heard about this place some weeks ago, and went to the Zambales region myself almost 3 weeks ago. Didn't have the chance to reach Anawangin, but it definitely seems worthwhile. This is one of the best photos I've seen from the place. A true beauty, salamat po!

I just discovered you had some photos from this region and it's interesting to see. I did this same route two weeks ago from Sibu to Kapit, Kapit to Belaga, and by car and bus from there to Miri. I don't think much have changed. There may be faster express boats (we did the journey from Kapit to Belaga in five hours), but there are still these smaller canoes that dominate the river. And the jungle still stands, luckily.
I like the choice of B&W in this one. It reminds me of one night in Belaga where I went to the river just to enjoy the silence and the few raindrops falling. I could see the trees on the other side and it all looked like B&W. I'd like to see how it would work with a more narrow composition and about the bottom 1/5 of the photo cropped out. But it does the job, thanks for sharing!
