It's great that you can still be up there at blue hour. Some places close early at 4 or 5 pm. I took exterior shots of this famous Gaudi building both in daylight and at night when I visited Spain in 2013. Splendid warm vs cold colour contrasts between the deep blue hour sky and the warm reddish yellow coppery tones of the distinctively shaped chimneys. Tfs!

The diagonal axis of the road adds good lead in lines and dynamism as well as good diminishing linear perspective. The cyclist has spotted you and is giving a friendly wave. Good sharpness and natural looking colour. Smart choice of a vertical frame. Always nice to see a blue sky too. Tfs!

Looks like the mountain behind Innsbruck as I would imagine it in winter. I like the patch of sunlight on the fg spur in the centre. Good sharpness and minimalist colour. The silhouetted chairlift to the summit, or ski-lift for semantics, is clearly visible. Superb shadow detail and framing. Tfs!

You have caught the eye of the cyclist at right, who is well positioned in the frame and animate sthe scene as well as providing a good focal point. Excellent sharpness and superb color and sharpness with excellent saturation and framing. A soft diffused light and the colorful shop window at left adds a nice splash of orange color. Tfs!

The rail at right adds good lead in lines and perspective and I really like the partial symmetrical reflections in the wet icy pavement. The fog shrouded valley is the cherry on the cake here. The jagged snow capped peaks on the horizon make a majestic backdrop. The warm red bronze hues of the rails contrast well against the cooler blue hues. Tfs!

Another gallery shot that caught my eye ... and held it. The flagstone alley adds superb lead in lines and diminishing linear perspective and vanishing point. Very good sharpness and natural looking colour. I like the upward curve of the road going uphill and the woman at left animates the scene. Tfs!

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) police car is well positioned in the frame and makes an obvious focal point. Good sharpness and the Chinese couple at left (they could also be Korean or Japanese) animate the scene and provide scale. The yellow zebra crossing is unusual but they have so much fog in SF that black and white are not as clear as yellow, which tends to stand out in the mist. Tfs!

I like the warm vs cold colour contrasts between the pink magenta tints on the walls and facades of the buildings, and the upper blue sky. Good sharpness and a superb upward pov with effective tight framing and no part of the frame wasted. The stairs add good lead in lines and perspective. Tfs!

Fabulous symmetrical reflections in the mirror like surface of the water and a good decisive moment capturing the ducks in flight. The reflected blue skylight in the water makes a fine backdrop. Nice motion blur on some of the wings of the birds in hurried flight. Tfs!

Fantastic warm vs cold color contrasts between the blue sky and the red roofs. Nice subtle fg reflections in the water. Good repetition of the colourful boats moored along the riverbank. The bg red hued fort enhances the warm cold color contrast and makes an obvious focal point, dominating the fg harbour. Tfs!

So many aircraft accidents and disappearances last year. They have since found the wreckage of the Air Asia flight from Surabaya to Singapore. I don't understand it. I have flown that same sector many times in December January from and to Bangkok and Brunei to Brisbane Australia without any problems. I guess it's the luck of the draw. Statistically you are far safer in an airplane than crossing the street or driving to the airport. A nice gesture on your part to commemorate the sad loss of all the passengers and crew. Tfs!

I like the 3 stone arches of the bridge at right. Always a good number. Excellent reflections in the water with good sharpness throughout. Realistic color and excellent lighting ans illumination. The path at left provides excellent lead in lines and perspective. A good upward pov on the tower. The blue sky makes a superb backdrop. Tfs!

Spotted this one in your gallery. A marvellous shot of the old stone tower in Italy. A good upward pov and the warm cold colour contrast between the blue sky and the reddish tinted stone is superb. A good angled pov on the clocktower. Excellent density levels with punchy light contrasts. Tfs!

A spectacular shot of Arundel Castle with a warm afternoon light, impeccable sharpness and wonderful warm cold colour contrasts between the blue sky and the yellow Autumn tones of the vegetation. Nice shadow play on the fg wall. Amazing repetition of the turrets and towers. Effectively framed with no part of the space wasted. Tfs!

Had to look this up in a map. It's actually quite close to the larger hamlet of Airey's Inlet to the east. A superb high pov with an expansive view across the windswept beaches. Good sharpness and excellent colour and saturation. I have been from Torquay to Apollo Bay and also to Port Campbell. Some of Australia's best coastline. Tfs!

Hello Jean Jacques,
Amazing repetition of the bg boats. Good sharpness, colour and saturation. The fg beachcombers add scale and animate the scene. The 2 headland either side bookend the shot nicely as well as providing symmetry to the composition. I like the contrast of wooded headland at left and bare rocky promontory at right. Thought the dark sections were oyster racks and this is confirmed in your excellent note. Tfs!
