A surreal view of the frozen landscape and the giant sphere on the horizon, looking like an alien egg waiting to hatch. I like the way the colors on the buildings stand out so much from the black and white surrounding them. And the strange poetic phrase on the wall - very intriguing.

A nice view of the lake with the boat on the left giving some scale. I think you could have aimed the camera a little higher to get the top of the mountains in the upper left into the view.
By the way, this is not Lake Louise - it is Maligne Lake near Jasper.

I like the effect of the HDR, which gives a slightly unreal quality to the photo. It also makes visible the details of the buildings which would otherwise be in the dark. A good point of view also.

Your photo has a lovely warm light bringing out the colors of the buildings and the tiles on the ground. Your point of view shows the pattern of tiles well, giving a sort of optical illusion as you scan across the photo.

A great point of view looking onto the square and the roofs of the buildings. Interesting the way the crowd has formed a circle around the performers. Are they playing that well known traditional Czech instrument, the didgeridoo?

Hi Jean Philippe,
This is a well composed photo. The low point of view helps emphasize the undulating road and the height of the buildings. It is a good documentary shot of a real part of the town, with its charming old buildings.

Excellent sharpness and exposure, and the B&W treatment works well for this subject, with every wrinkle showing up. Good idea to have the young elephant as the main subject. I also like the effect of the backlit dust around the feet.

You certainly nailed this one: timing, exposure, sharpness, composition, point of view are all outstanding. The black and white treatment suits it perfectly. One of the best lightning photos I'v ever seen. It was worth getting wet!
