I travelled the length of the Nile from near Alexandria to Abu Simbel in Egypt, & I can safely say it is a very loooooooonnnnng river! It took a week or more of train and boat travel. I was thinking about getting the 8 hour boat to Sudan then a 52 hour train trip to Khartoum but by this stage I had had enough. Tfs!

An apt upload for Remembrance day for the war that was supposed to end all wars. Unfortunately human nature hasn't changed a great deal in the past 100 years or so & we still keep repeating the same mistakes. I like the cutout shape of the uniformed soldier. Tfs!

It won't be very long before this scene is repeated in Romania. 4c high here and -4c at night. A good decisive moment catching the falling snow mid air. Nice warm cold color contrasts between the yellow, red and blue. Tfs!

I was pleased to see that what I thought was a bandaged right leg after stepping on a landmine is in fact a dog. And both the girls legs are fine. I took the same shot when I visited Cambodia in 2003. Tfs!

A superb daily life scene from El Nido. I miss the walks along the beach and the great seafood restaurant run by a Dane at the northern end of the beach. Lots of details to observe with vibrant colour and good sharpness. Tfs!

These open bus tours are very popular in Europe and Istanbul. I have never been on one and prefer to use the metro to get around & spend as much time as I like at a few selected locations. But in a small city with no metro & limited public transport this could be an option. The stationery yellow bus is an eyecatcher. Tfs!

It seems trams are becoming more popular all around Europe. Surprised to see trams on the Gold Coast. Brisbane tram depot burnt down in the 1960's along with all the city's trams. So its been buses ever since. Good sharpness and the bright yellow color is eyecatching. It also contrasts well against the bg blue sky. Tfs!
