Original observation. You’ve captured the humor in the scene very well. Did you have to wait some time for the little figure right on the background or was it there all the time. It gives a special dimension to the picture.

I like your picture of just ordinarily facades very much. These simple examples of architecture are so often ignored, but there are more of this kind of buildings around us in daily life, and therefore as important as all the spectacular highlights.

I like the almost abstract composition of this picture. The black silhouette of the building and the fence before the grey misty mountain. The blue-white of the clouded sky above and the string with the half tones of the flags. Very moody.

I guess you took this picture from the Torre del Mangia. I remember the beautiful view from the tower over the wide surrounding.
Sienna and Florence are my favourite cities in Italy.
Great presentation with the church surrounded by all that red roofs.

I did use Google Earth to find out in which part of Olso this is. Not one of the many places I walked by, but I think when I did I certainly had seen the picturesque value of this façade.

I like your series about NY. I try to recognize the places. I can remember that I walked here last your, but I can’t remember the eyes of Big Brother watching me.
Good picture full of humor.

The Shard is een officieel ViewPoint. Via internet kan je meer informatie vinden en kaartjes bestellen. Je moet de foto’s inderdaad wel vanachter glas maken (en een beetje heldere dag hebben)

I did read the Dutch translation of one of Tove’s books. I didn’t know she was an illustrator two.
When I was 3 years ago in Helsinki the Ateneum was renovated. We couldn’t see the façade, but inside was a lovely exhibition.
This fine picture is a good promotion for the exhibition.

I can imagine that this modern facade doesn’t fit in its surrounding but on this picture it shows to be a very fascinating building.
The is a great movement in the element and the shadows gives a surprising contrast.
