Photographer’s Note
Here's my photo of the majestic twin towers in Malaysia. These are a great sight to behold in the town of Kuala Lumpur - and there's a buzz in the atmosphere with these two buildings lighting up the sky... I can't imagine KL without them.
I wandered around at the base of the towers looking for something to use for a tripod and found myself continually walking back and back to fit them into the vertical frame.

This exposure is one of the best I have seen here on TE. You managed an excellent definition and not a single over-exposed point, even with some strong lights towards you. The huge Malaysian flags are a good eye catcher and add colour to the composition. Well done.

David,
I remember you other post of this place, Well this one is almost as good as the other one. I like the overall view of the towers stretching far upto the dark sky. yet the sharpness and clarity is so good overall. Great DoF. Visually, it gives really strong impression of the height of this towers. Excellent work. Thanks

Hello David,
Excellent night shot, displaying extraordinary light management. There is, however, a bit too much convergence, created by the unusually wide angle lens. Instead of backing up, and using the widest angle you camera could accommodate, it might have been useful to shoot 2-3 horizontal shots, aimed at different levels, and stitch them together. I imagine a stitching software would be helpful, and the master of such stitching is Didi Massoud. Take a look at one of his masterpieces, Typical architecture I.
Warm regards,

hello David
this is a superb night shot, with a perfect light and an excellent sharpness!I don't agree with "batalay",I like the distorsion created by the wide angle, and with the vertical framing,it's accentuating the height effect of the towers!Very well done!

Perfect lighting and exposure with first rate detail and colours throughout. Obviously the lens was the issue to try and fit the towers in, but a very good night shot.

Hi David
I was in KL in 1997 just prior to the towers opening, the only part we could get into was the shopping mall underneath. I like your POV and without a tripod it can be a pain finding something solid to sit the camera on and still achieve the perspective that you are after, well done. Great clarity and exposure.
Cheers

hi David
For a different perspective, I find it interesting to see how outside visitors see the landmark in photography at different hour of the day.
This is sharp for 1/15s. For framing it is not easy to fit the subject at the base of the tower, when most people will shoot from a distance but it may not give that intimate close look like what you did here.

Hi Dave. These are impressive towers and you have captured theme skilfully. The converging perspective has added to the imposing nature of them. Nice handling of light and excellent sharpness. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good week, Paul.

Hi David
Yes I can imagine that it is hard to fit them in when you are that close, Maybe not the most impressive pov of these famous buildings, but then you instead got a lot of fine details, hard to get both.
