Photographer’s Note

Και επειδή βλέπω πως σας αρέσουν να σας δείξω άλλη μία όπου φαίνεται το μέγεθος που είχαν τα κύματα.

Την φωτογραφία αυτή όμως θα ήθελα να την δείτε με αλλη ματιά πιο ποιητική.
Μια ιδέα της Γεωργιας [g_panakia] γι'αυτό και της την αφιερώνω

Συγνώμη από τους φίλους από άλλες χώρες αλλά δεν μπορώ να μεταφράσω το ποίημα του Νίκου Καββαδία στα Αγγλικά
YARA YARA
Καθώς αποκοιμήθηκες φύλαγε βάρδια ο κάβος.
Σε σπίτι μέσα, ξέχασες προχτές το φυλαχτό.
Γελάς, μα εγώ σε πούλησα στο Rio για δυο centavos
κι απέ σε ξαναγόρασα ακριβά στη Βηρυτό.

Με πορφυρό στα χείλη μου κοχύλι σε προστάζω.
Στο χέρι το γεράκι σου και τα σκυλιά λυτά.
Απάνωθέ μου σκούπισε τη θάλασσα που στάζω
και μάθε με να περπατώ πάνω στη γη σωστά.

Κούκο φορούσες κάτασπρο μικρός και κολαρίνα.
Ναυτάκι του γλυκού νερού.
Σε πιάνει - μην το πεις αλλού - σα γάτα η λαμαρίνα
Και σε σαστίζει ξαφνικό προβέτζο του καιρού.

Το ντύμα πάρε του φιδιού και δος μου ένα μαντίλι.
Εγώ, - και σ' έγδυσα μπροστά στο γέρο Τισιανό.
Βίρα, Κεφαλλονίτισσα, και μάινα το καντήλι.
Σε λόφο γιαπωνέζικο κοιμάται το στερνό.

Σου πήρα από τη Νάπολη μια ψεύτικη καμέα
κι ένα κοράλλι ξέθωρο μαζί.
Πίσω απ' το φριγκορίφικο στην άδεια προκυμαία
Έβενος, - γλώσσα της φωτιάς, στο βάθος κρεμεζί.

Φώτα του Melbourne. Βαρετά κυλάει ο Yara Yara
ανάμεσα σε φορτηγά πελώρια και βουβά,
φέρνοντας προς το πέλαγος, χωρίς να δίνει δυάρα,
του κοριτσιού το φίλημα, που στοίχισε ακριβά.

Γερά την ανεμόσκαλα. Καφέ για τον πιλότο.
Λακίζετε, αλυσόδετοι του στεριανού καημού.
Και σένα, που σε κέρδισα μιανής νυχτιάς σε λότο,
σμίγεις και πας με τον καπνό του γκρίζου ποταμού.

Μια βάρκα θέλω, ποταμέ, να ρίξω από χαρτόνι,
όπως αυτές που παίζουνε στις όχθες μαθητές.
Σκοτώνει, πες μου, ο χωρισμός; - Ματώνει, δε σκοτώνει.
Ποιος είπε φούντο; Ψέματα. Δε φτάσαμε ποτές.

And because, I see that you like ,I show you this too where it appears the size that they had the waves. This photograph however I would want you look at him with other glance more poetic.

a great capture of a decisive moment. The colors also add a lot of impact to this stormy atmosphere. Moreover the concrete of the bridge and its metallic structure also blend very well with this natural phenomenom.

Spectacular shot! Catching that massive wave in mid air really shows the power of nature, and having that right in front of the bridge gives a great contrast with the works of man - maybe something about trying to tame nature. Anyways, it's a very eye catching shot with the dark background. Excellent work!

have seen this bridge a few times in your gallery, but this one is the best in my opinion. that wave and the threatening sky add dynamic drama to the composition. well seen and captured, friend!

not so sure about the foreground choice though.

Νίκο καλημέρα

Πραγματικά πολύ εντυπωσιακή σκηνή. Φύση και φωτογράφος σε απόλυτο συντονισμό. Το κύμα είναι πραγματικά τεράστιο. Φαντάζομαι όσοι ήταν σε αυτοκίνητα πάνω στη γέφυρα θα το είδαν να περνά από πάνω τους.

Η απόλυτη σύλληψη της δύναμης της φύσης.
Προσεγμένη γωνία λήψης και τέλειο timing, "έπιασε" όλη την μεγαλοπρέπεια της δύναμης του κύματος αλλά και την στιβαρή παρουσία της γέφυρας, που την αντιμετωπίζει σθεναρά.
Συγχαρητήρια για την εξαιρετική λήψη.

Impressive1! Really a great decisive moment. The height of the wave is truly impressive and makes us wonder if the bridge will go out of that struggle with the fury of nature unharmed.
