More than rain (to Georgia) Photo

Photographer’s Note

If you want to visit the little island on the lake of Ioannina (Lake Pamvotis) and the picturesque village upon, you 'll have to take the touristic boats from "Molos" (see HERE and HERE) , the lakeside road of Ioannina town. That's the "passage" for the visitors.

The locals, the inhabitants of the village on the islet, have their own passage, on the east bank of the lake, a place called Drabatova, opposite to the town (in this picture you can barely see the town in the background, covered by fog. It's the place where they leave their cars and get into their small boats or plavas (special boats of the lakes, long and narrow without carina). Every family of the island has one.

The title of the photo comes from a song by one of my most favourite artists, Tom Waits. The blue mood is striking here, and I can see from the water surface it is heavy rain!
The umbrella is of course the eye-catcher, amazing...

Hi dear Hercules,
Wonderfull -almost monochrome- capture which turns into a color capture (as if a miracle happens) with this colorfull umbrella which runs suddenly in the frame from the left border.
Very good graphical effect and nice notes.

Hello Hercules:
The blue mood of the picture makes me remember the overall blue cast that I used to have when I shot using the E100VS film (by Kodak) in overcast or hazy days. I do miss that effect right now when I shoot mostly digital. But some tricks can still be done using PS.
The umbrella at the bottom left of the picture draws my eye in that direction. I think that particular details makes this a very good pciture.

As a mood picture this one really gets to me; I feel rain-soaked just looking at it! The small splash of color does not overcome the feeling, either; it just heightens it. Good capture.

Tiene algo no habitual en tus fotos, pero a la vez sigue teniendo ese color tan característico en ellas.

Además, seguro que por las condiciones de luz, la foto era mucho más difícil de lo que parece.

Excelente composición con tonos azules excepto el paraguas que rompe la monocromia del color, esta muy bien captada como lo haces siempre, la verdad que el efecto de la lluvia esta muy bien representado en tu magnifica foto. Muy buen encuadre y POV.
