Photographer’s Note
Across the Fraser River from Abbotsford in Mission there is a modern day abbey run by Catholic monks. We were allowed inside to take some pictures as it is open to the public. The abbey was built in the 1970's.
This my first attempt at an HDR combination of three images. If you have any suggestions as to improvements I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Phil. Nice catch. Good composition and perspective. I love the warm colours and I think the flare from the stained glass windows adds a nice effect. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi, Phil.
Different type of shot from what I'm used to see in your gallery. Interesting + intriguing at the same time, and featuring great interaction between light and angles. HDR? As long as it doesn't look like HDR, which only turns pictures into cartoons, it's OK with me. So, I'm totally fine with your effort, TFS!
Have a good day, see ya soon.
Fulvio.

I'm not the right person to ask for HDR advice as I have never done one I found satisfactory. I guess your reason for asking is that there is still oe on the windows on the right. I don't know how many different exposures you took but maybe you needed an extra one so there were different exposures for the windows left and right.
I'm not complaining about anything as the result looks good and the oe not toubling. You have composed the image very well using the perspective of the altar(?) I bet it was stunning to see in reality.

Hi Phil!
Very impressive photo, the light managment and the use of the HDR method have worked perfectly well in this case! There is some perspective distortion and some "tilt" on the "horizon" of the photo, visible mostly on the upper part, but you can easily fix this in Photoshop!

Very nice shot of the abbey in Mission. You did a very good job with the HDR as I had no idea it was HDR until you said it was. When it's unnoticable is ideal. Good perspective too, with nice use of the wide angle and getting close to the ground. Excellent work!

Hi Phil,
Ahhh I see you have brought your camera inside to catch all the lovely tones of golden light adorning this striking four sided altar.
Nice wide view from this technique.

Hi, Phil -
A very good HDR effort. Some of the windows are still a bit blown out, but unfortunately I have no suggestions for what to do about that. I do like the way you captured both the strong light in the windows and the subtler lighting on the floor. The wide angle composition also works well.
Best,
Dan

Hi Phil,
An intriguing glimpse at the inside of this great monastery. I like the depth here and also the way the corner tile takes the eye inward on both sides. I have been intrigued by HDR and it works especially well with architectural images.
Regards.

Good evening Phil. I have looked at this posting before and thought about this photo. From what I heard the 10-22 lens has a reach of 110 degrees. With the perfect square platform I am wondering what focal length you used here? The HDR format really does bring in a range of details in lighting intensity. I see you were here at the optimum time for the sun to shine through the colored glass. Excellent capture.

Good morning Phil
I must have missed this photo in your gallery. Lovely lighting and superb composition, almost 3Dlike.
I have to say, i am uneducated when it comes to these 'stitching' photos where people take several and make them into one...I want to learn how to do that for panoramic scenery.
There is always something to learn
Have a great day
Craig
