Photographer’s Note

The photo was taken on a ferry coming from Gdansk to Nynashamn in Sweden. The ferry itself was quite interesting. Not as much however as some bird fare dodgers. There was a family (I guess) of 4 owls among the passangers. They were flying around ferry than relaxing on life boats parts. Iw was the first time I've seen an owl. I was rather impressed. I've taken like 80 photos of them. I like this one most. I'd like however to see this motor less sahrp. I didn't , unhappily, manage to adjust it nicely in PS. So, for instance, I leave the photo unchanged.

Zdjecie jakoscia powala na kolana. Ostrosc i glebia na bardzo wysokim poziomie. Ciekawy model- nie znam sie ale to chyba uszatka. Przepiekne!
Sam mam jedna w swojej galerii, ale sniezna.

wonderful capture of this long-eared owl! In fact it happens quite often that birds dodge to pay the fare on ferries. I have often seen doves on ferries but no owls. The shot is excellent. Most of all I like how the owl is focusing on the photographer. My compliments!

Hi Lukasz,

Your story is touching and I can imagine easily your fascination in front of your first owl! I like the sharpness on him, with a multitude of details on his feathers ( I specially appreciate the two ears flowing in the wind) and his round eyes, straight towards the camera. I like the bright colors, the beautiful and clear bokeh. Bravo.
