Photographer’s Note
This is the tomb of a young man who died at the age of 20, 12 years ago in Oaxaca Mexico. Every year, his sister dresses up his tomb buys food for friends and family, and brings in a Mariachi band to sing in his honour. It seemed to be the most popular tomb at Oaxaca's cementery.
Every year, on November 1, people in Mexico dress up their loved one's tombs to remember them, as at thsi date itis beleived that the dead come back to share time with the living.

Hi Daniel,
Interesting photo from Mexico. Their customs for the All Saints Day are so different from our European ones. They are famous amd it is a pity I had no opprtunity to see it. splendid shot in warm colours, good sharpness. Regards

A similar tradition is common among my family. My mother and aunts arrange a lunch on the anniversary of my grandfather's death to remember him and pray after his death.
Your photo is an emotional touch to someone beloved but slipped away, someone never forgotton.
Have a nice week Daniel,
Best wishes,
Burcu

A very moving image and accompanying story. You have captured the perfect moment as a family member is lighting the candles. A well exposed image with all the relevant details illuminated by the candles. 1/8 second hand-held is very impressive.

Hi Daniel,
you captured this sacret ceremony very well. I like the dark tone of the whole image.
Well done,
Kris

The low lighting is very nicely captured. I like the way you composed this shot with a great view of the tomb and the man lighting the candles.

Hola Daniel.
Abrazos.

Hi Daniel,
an array of low-lit elements finely composed an a strong-themed
composition. Highly unusual approach to show the event
accompanied with an informative note.
Love it!
Cheers,
Robi

Hola Daniel otra vez:
