Photographer’s Note

Jökulsárlón - the biggest glacial lake in Iceland.
It is situated on the south end of the Vatnajökull glacier, just by the ringroad, so you can get ther by a regular car.

Now this perspective was to give an idea how would that be to take a swim in the lake...

So you get the view... anyone cold-loving and brave to write about the feelings?

Très belle image avec ce cadrage au ras de l'eau. Les couleurs sont très bien restituées. J'aime beaucoup.

Hi Michal,

This one stands apart in its uniqueness. Your extremely low point of view and the vignetting on the top give this somewhat of a pinhole camera feel. I wouldn't want to swim here but I did sit down in this water on Sep 1, 2007 to get a few morning images.

The ride back to Skaftafell was chilly. Brrrrrrrr.....

Aż czuć powiew zimna.
Bardzo fajne , nie wiem tylko, czy ostrości nie wolałabyn na pierwszym planie...ale i tak jest sugestywne, bardzo dobre!

Wow~ This is really an impressive one, I love it very much! Cold water, bright sunshine, blue ice and sky, like in a sweet dream. Thank you for showing the spaciel view of the glacial lake I did not know. Regards.

Hi Michal. I don’t think you’d catch me swimming in this lake!! Excellent photo. wonderful “cool” colours. The sparkling highlights add crispness also. Thanks for sharing.
