Photographer’s Note
Hi TE Friends!
Recently, I've seen a number of posts from TE members with photos BTE, that is to say "Before TrekEarth". ;-) "Scanned from negative" is what they wrote. That got me thinking about all the wonderful photos that I have stashed away and led me to spend quite a bit of time in the archives...
I've got lots and lots (unfortunately a great number that have lost their image quality over the years) and decided to post this one because even though it's over 18 years old, I remember taking this as if it was yesterday. I liked it then, I like it now. I hope you like it too!
The info: This is a photo of the Jardine House in Hong Kong with its prominent round windows (built in 1972 and the highest sky scraper at the time until 1980) reflecting in Building One of the Exchange Square, where the Hong Kong Stock Market is housed.
Take care!
Linda

Hi Linda,
Ha, ha, you know the chinese in Hong Kong have a special name for this building with all the round windows, I'll probobly get deleted by the moderators but, they call it "the building of 1000 ar**holes". Great sense of humour the Chinese people.
Good shot, worth digging through the archives for.
cheers

Hallo Linda!
Ein guter scan, wenn man das Alter bedenkt.
Schöne Perspektive hier und gute Spiegelungen.Auch die rot und blau-Töne gefallen mir.Das ganze hat einen guten graphischen effekt.

Hi, Linda.
Shots like this one are definitely worth digging in the archives. I had a lot of fun shooting analog in the old days and I don't forget it just because of "being digital" now.
Great angle & old-style graphical/minimal effect, and very nice, dreamy reflections. TFS!
And thanks for visiting The Lobby at Sin City, much appreciated.
Have a nice evening, see ya soon.
Fulvio.

Hello Linda,
You took this photo 18 years ago, but it is still a very modern composition. The graphism is very good. Perhaps it would be better with some more contrasts.
Anyway, I like all these holes. It looks like a piece of Gruyere;-)
Take care too.

Hello Linda,
Nice graphism & simplicity. This photo makes me wonder how the Asian stock markets are performing this morning. Nice scanned job. (I know how tedious it is clean up scanned images from old photos/negatives. I think the humidity in my country hasten the degradations). Regards. Latiff.

Hello Linda,
I like the lines and the geometric feeling!
The shapes and lines works well in this artistic creation, and the colour palette is well balanced...
And good photographs never get old..!

Hi Linda,

Hey Linda.
Nice picture! Also I appreciate your effort in the picture. As I only got into photography during the digital era, I have complete respect for film photographers! Good for you! I like your well seen reflection here and the colours still look good after all these years.
Thanks for sharing.

Hello Linda,
wow 18 years old! Well you can see it´s scanned but it´s not a problem. The idea is nice and well done.
But there´s a little problem with the bottom left corner (Don´t even know hot to get the frame like that) But it´s just a small mistake.
Cheers,
Kris

I came looking for this one and I can see why you are attached to it. (Why didn't I see it before??) This is the genre of photography I would like to do, but I never 'see' such things. I only admire what other people have seen that I passed by. It could be that I'm not a city person, so when I'm in a city I haven't got my 'eye' in. It makes a superb abstract with each vertical section having a different pattern. Well worth posting. I'm going back to write a reply on your last critique.
