Sea of fog...so it starts... Photo

Photographer’s Note

Sea of fog is a very special phenomenon in the mountains. It is simply fog or low clouds (stratus) that are observed from above the fog/stratus deck, typically from a mountain top. I took this picture few minutes before the sea of fog covered the whole valley. It starts very slowly but constantly. It looks like mountains cover themselves with the down-filled quilt. After the clouds cover the whole valley you can feel like you are standing on an island looking at the white ocean around under a sunny blue sky above.

belle photo aux couleurs d'automne dans l'alpage et aux ombres bien sombres de saison; le lac à l'ombre est d'un bleu profond plaisant.
plaisante aussi cette mer de nuages qui arrive.
mais, ce que j'aime le plus dans cette photo c'est ton ombre! elle se combine avec une ombre sur les rocher et tu semble avoir non pas des bras mais deux grandes ailes comme un aigle qui survol son domaine!
c'est un plus vraiment sympa!

le moment chois et l'endroit sont excellents, ces nuages, tu nous donnes l'impression de les voir bouger. Magnifiques lumières, jeux d'ombres et de soleil, un très bon rendu du relief.

Hi Kinga, nice picture and interesting note too.

I like the warm colours and reflection in the small tarn. Maybe you could inlcude little bit more of foreground and less blue sky but it is not big issue.

Bardzo przyjemna kompozycja z autografem :) Dosyc duzy kontrast miedzy PD rogiem a LG, połówkowy filtr ustawiony pod katem moglby pomoc w dobrym doswietleniu. Bardzo przyjemny górski motyw, podoba mi sie.
