Photographer’s Note

Volos (Greek: Βόλος) is a coastal port city situated at the center of the Greek mainland, about 326 km north from Athens and 215 km south from Thessaloniki. It is the capital of the Magnesia prefecture.
According to a Byzantine historian of the 14th century, Volos was known as "Golos". The most widely accepted theory for the derivation of the city's name suggests that Volos is a corruption of the Mycenaean Iolkos, which had become distorted through the ages to become "Golkos", later "Golos", and subsequently "Volos". Others contend that the name originates with Folos, who according to myth was a wealthy landlord of the region.

hi georgia - you did good to show us those old chariot boats. here also, you have some noise in the photo, which destroys the lovely mood. you should try to neat it, by selecting the sky and neating only the sky. otherwise a nice nocturne photo. with my best wishes, valentinos

Hello Georgia! Now this is really nice, what a great night blue, what a nice light on the boat and I really find it special how you smoothened the texture of the sea, silky, soft, a night in Greece! I saw the WS and it has a little noise indeed if you look carefully but it is not really bad at all but there are so many programs, for each problem a program :)))) Very good work, you have an excellent eye for photos. Γεια σου Γεωργία, πολύ όμορφο το σκοτεινό μπλε και κάνει εξαιρετική αντίθεση με το χρώμα του πλοίου. Η αντανάκλαση του πλοίου έχει γράψει εξαιρετικά, μου αρέσει που χώρισες το κάδρο στη μέση, εδώ δουλεύει πολύ καλά. Πολύ καλή και η οξύτητα.

Πολύ καλή έκθεση που διακρίνεται για τις άψογες λεπτομέρειες και την αξιοποίηση του διαθέσιμου φωτός. Οι συντελεστές διαμόρφωσης της, το διάφραγμα και η ταχύτητα του κλείστρου χρησιμοποιήθηκαν εύστοχα για το καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα.
