Summers Night In Smoegen Photo

Photographer’s Note

Smoegen (Smögen) a little west of Kungshamn was once a fisherman's harbour, but today it crowded with yachtsmen and tourists - like me - and everywhere you can get the rhythm of music from ghettoblasters on the boats simultaneously sniffing tempting smell of food.

Anyway it is absolutely worth a visit. I have been here a couple of times with my family taking a stroll along the quay, having an ice cream.

In this composition what caught me was the tall mast against the setting sun. This big boat really seemed to "rest" along the wharf.

Very nice picture, Jan.
Beautiful POV. I like particularly the repeated vertical lines, and their contrast with the curve in the bottom left corner.

Jan,
This is a well composed shot with the dock and ship on one side and the water and boats on the other. The pink sky is great providing a nice backdrop for the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.
