Çildir Lake
The Çıldır Lake is located in a volcanic area 70 kilometers north of Kars, on an altitude of 1,959 meters. The lake is shaped like a triangle, with its longest side (15 km) in the northern part. It is set on an area of 120 square kilometers. Çıldır Lake formed when lavas closed the front of a crater, causing water to collect inside it.

o kadar cok gormryi arzu ettigim bir yer ki,iyi ki bu kareyi bizimle paylastiniz...bir tv programinda orali yasli bir hanimi seyretmistim,kanadi kirik bir pelikani evcillestirmis mesut bahtiyar yasiyor ve o aci sogukta muthis baliklar yakaliyordu buzun ortasinda acilan deliklerden...

Extremely good control of the light in this photo Koksal. It´s not easy to get the sun into the compo and get such a good outcome. I also love how the lines on the ice works on the composition. Very good one.

Good morning Koksal

I always find very courageous these kind of shots, under cold temperatures (unbearable to my point of view and much more impressive than the remarkable size or the altitude of the lake). Here I like very much the perspective, with the path that drives us straight to the sun! The soft light is marvellous; the silhouettes sharp into the light. The elongated shadow of the ice pick is funny but somehow, it looks more like a criminal scene in this unattended landscape(well they are supposed to kill fishes anyway !). Very good timing, with the sunup and the movement of the man.

The picture on backlight is excellent and scenery is really full of life. The thing i must appreciate is this so large and pure snowy landscape, and for sure the inclusion of those 2 guys give a large scale of it

Son derece zor ulaşılan bir yerde, birçok tehlikeyi göze alarak çekilen bu nefis fotograf bir de ışık ve kompozisyon bakımından çok cesaretli ve de başarılı. Bu tür çalışmaların arşivimde olmaları beni çok mutlu eder zenginleştirirdi.
