Photographer’s Note
Mt.Mckinnly in Denali National Park is the highest peak in North America, with one of greatest variance from the surrounding terrain of all mountains. Denali means the big one in native tongue. This is a view from the north east on the park road, which is a 90 mile dirt road. Access can only be gained via Bus, unless you wish to walk or bicycle.

Looks like a Giant Teton......Nice color, composition- I thought originally a crop on the bottom edge but that would maybe ruin the road, I think that should be here after your notes.. Well done.

I'd like to see this Mountain... and I was not very far at the moment you took this picture... I was in Seattle but at the Airport to go back in Europe.
I think you were lucky to see it with that sun and your picture is wonderful.
I juste made a little workshop to decrease sky and snow brighness.

A very eye-pleasing harmonious layering of blue, white, gray and green Ned.
The bus on the road in the far distance helps to convey the immensity of this majestic mountain. Our mountains on the eastern side of this continent would only rise as far as those first mounds without the snow.

Great picture of Denali! Wish I had known that Denali was synonymous with Mt. McKinley when I camped overnight that one weekend in 2002! It is an impressive mountain!

What a beautiful mountain! It is not below even big mountains of Himalaya. I'm impressed!

This is a stunning view! I have read about how rarely people get to see Denali on a clear day, so I think you are very lucky to have gotten such a clear shot! :) Denali is truly one of the world's most beautiful peaks, and I'm glad someone was able to post such a great shot.

Hi Ned,
Even from photos, it's the most amazing mountain!!! I expect I can't even imagine the awe of seeing it in person. Perhaps next time. You have captured it well, wonderful framing and your light management gives great detail and color...Pat

Nice shot Ned. You were lucky to go to McKinley on such a clear day--I hear that many photographers wait days or weeks to get a clear shot of the mountain. Beautiful shot.

Hi Ned,
Very nice capture of Denali. From what I hear, you are lucky to get such a good view of it, without any clouds. I really like your composition, but I agree with Rockyboy about the brightness, I did a little workshop of my own to, just experimenting really, hope it helps some.
