Photographer’s Note
Concentration and seriousness on some faces, tiredness on others and one is amused : this is the same quatuor of actors as seen before : after the 15 minutes pause during which the scene was being prepared by the light technicians, shooting team, stage designers etc, here the actors are repeating the text for a last time, with the prompter (standing up, who assists the actors by providing the next words of a forgotten passage) and I guess, on her left, the author of the scenario who remained silent.
The film director, visibly tired, is squatting between the 2 couples. The sun had already set and there are several sources of light, - bright spots placed behind the windows and also inside the room.
(A 3rd post about the shooting of a TV series called "Son Ağa" (NB : fun to watch, the beginning of this video clip !).
The 4 leading actors of that particular scene :
- the man on the left is Tamer Karadağlı (Salim),
- next to him, the young actress Feride Çetin,
- sitting in front of them, Emel Müftüoğlu, also a singer (the woman with black hair) and
- Durul Bazan, the man on the right.
........................................
(FYI, - only if you are interested, not very good but informative photos taken the same day :
- confusion inside this restaurant while preparing for the shooting,
- an extra actor with a broad smile,
- and the film director in the corner of the restaurant reserved for the technicians)

Hello Catherine,
A very entertaining tableau - and very effectively lit. The presence of the, rather weary, production team provides the main interest for me.
Best wishes....Maggie

Interesting and well composed scene in a bright but soft light, Cath. Indeed, it has a tableau feel. The atmosphere is wonderfully caught.
Best,

hi cath,
actually i like both proposals - but this one looks somehow like a some kind of family dinner where an important moment of life is being solemnly celebrated...
that barrier in front sort of disturbs but i understand you had no other choice when composing this scene...

Bonjour Catherine,
On s'y croirait vraiment!

Very interesting dinner scene which reminds me of the Last Supper with your title but I think the exposure here is good for this shot to give such clarity and good detail around the table and the room.
Interesting how you can get access to shoot this scene and appear like part of the camera crew.

Salut Cath,

Quite a mixed feelings about this one, Cathy ...
I envy you your ability to be there, among those people in there, yet...
At the same time I can only imagine the restrictions imposed upon you by the crew.
You must behave as much unobstrusively as possible...
Be 'unpresent' in there... Limiting movements, yet...
You ARE there and you produced the rare ( very rare) photos from 'inner circles"
Bravo, Catarina the Great
