Photographer’s Note
On our way from Hobart to Port Arthur we stopped at a lookout and found this beautiful view of Pirates Bay.
I have changed levels, sharpened and reduced in size for posting. I don't think the sharpening worked - I am not really sure how to sharpen or how much to sharpen :-(
Following on from Ifege's workshop I have researched how to use Photoshop today and have done a bit more work on the original photo and posted this updated copy.

This version has much better contrast and is clearly better than the original post.
Some suggestions about sharpening in Photoshop CS2.
Always sharpen as a last step of processing, AFTER photo is downsized.
Select Filter->Sharpen->Smart Sharpen
Use radius of 0.2 or 0.3 pixels, in "remove" field select "lens blur", amount should should be chosen different for each photo, anywhere from 30% to 120%.

Hi Jeanne,
Hey ! I car-slept on that point of view :D So beautiful ! Waking up there on the morning was amazing ! It's a beautiful view which is worth a post for sure, and you did a nice job for a first time on Photoshop. Maybe too much contrast in my opinion, which doesn't restitute the peaceful atmosphere of your original photo, but it's not easy with the sea mist.
Have a nice day !
Marion
