In the afternoon we arrived in Debark in the North of Ethiopia in the Simien Mountains. The market was at its end. This man carried his heavy load at home.

this is a strong image. I like the contrast between the man's concentrated gaze and the almost relaxed expression of the sheep. Good vivid colours too.

The best you posted. I would have appreciated to have the image enlarged a little in order to get the right hand of the man.

ce portrait est superbe, ou bien ces portraits?
on voit tout le poids que suporte cet homme vraissemblablement fatigué et la curiosité de la bête tout compte fait assez contente de sa position et qui sourirait presque pour la photo! (j'espère qu'elle est là pour aller agrandir un troupeau et non pas afin de passer sous peu à la casserole car dans ce cas son "sourire" est déplacé...)

Hallo Peter,
Opnieuw een zeet sterk portret. De man heeft een zeer sterke gezichtsexpressie, vastberaden, maar tevens het zware leven wat hij waarschijnlijk heeft markeert zijn gezicht. Dat het beest je ook zo recht aankijkt vind ik echt een sterk punt hier, maar de hele foto nog beter in presentatie en uitstraling.
Wat is dat blauw over de rug van het beest?

Very amazing shot! The man seems not to like your lens though the sheep likes to be photographed. Do the people in Debark like to be photographed?
It seems to me you have a potential for reducing the radius of usm to smooth the wool. But I like this powerful image a lot.
