Photographer’s Note

While I took a stroll in Port Moody and walked through an overhead pass, suddenly this train appeared out of the fog below, so I hastily whipped out my camera and took this photo.

I cropped the photo and used some warm colors.

Unusual and quite pleasing photo, which reminds me a little of a painting. The colours are very strong but subtle, and the railway setting adds to the autumn interest. I like the little bit of colour added by the wagon, and also the curve of the tracks. A good hasty capture, just in time by the look of it, as the train is about to disappear around the bend!

The train gives a lot to the photo. It would not have the same impact without (color, focal point)
