Photographer’s Note

November Grey
Along our largest and longest river Glomma a day in November the morning mist is still around. Only at the river bank is there some colors of the late fall still to be seen.
No wind but a light drizzle in the air as I take my position, for some photos, at the dam at Kykkelsrud Hydro Power Plant.
Who would think that the river floating so silent as here can produce, right under my legs, effectively electric power. Some more data here:

Built: 1903-1948
Number of turbine: 3 (Francis)
Installed capacity: 22,500 kW
Median annual generation: 35 GWh
Fall height: 20 m
Flow rate: 135 cubic meters per second

This is the 3rd in my little theme of the 3 hydro electrical power plants situated along the river Glomma within a few kilometers from where I live.

PS The little black dot..
Danos asked what is the little black dot in the middle there...
In fact it is a little small island ...
Here presented in detail with the added bonus of 2 ducks in the foreground ;-)
