Photographer’s Note
The fine day of November 1st 2008 ending on the shores of Reunion island L'Hermitage lagoon.
Maybe that was a dream, but 3 days before the day, I saw a lanky silhouette of a black man, lost in thoughts of future, while his bro was enjoying reading the news...
Oh no, that wasn't just a dream...

Not so sure about the tilt on the sea - wasn't liking it too much until I noticed it's relation to the angle of the shadows - that more integrated view adds another subtle dynamic to the 'attitude' of the men. It's a very nice 'keyhole' framing through to the guy sitting down - it's a good note!

Though it is at darker side..It is soft feeling.
Nice work.
By the way..How is life??
What are your plans for New year??

I believe the dream was already “tilting to the left”. And, without any pre-conceived idea, I would have converted it to B&W which I think would suit perfectly.

Incomparable...
Even if try to design something like that - it would be rather difficult...
A big time event !

Hi Luko,
I quite like the darkness just with that slight hint of colour coming through. The guy lost in his thoughts is so perfectly framed by the other two and them in turn framed by the trees. Nice.

hi,
who's dream is this exactly? ;o)
he might have had a dream or might be having a dream but you might
aswell be dragging me the viewer in the middle of a (your) dream here.
just shapes waiting to be filled with (my heart's desire's) content.
rich in details, but not where an everyday eye/sight would wait/give them.
and i like that. almost like a negative.
... of course i will always love silhouettes in any shape they come ;o)
here they somehow remind me of those paper shaped humans waiting
to be dressed with paper shaped clothing or was that paper shaped dreams?
be well,
dora

indeed the horizon seascape is tilted, but it's a detail we don't watch carefully in this composition, and the play of silhouettes is well balanced, that's a very precise POV, well done

the tilt doesn't bother me at all, infact if the photo was straight it would have affected the framing, especially in the top right, making it a bit less appealing. Epic photo, epic times, part of the history we had a pleasure to live through presented through the eyes of the citizen of the earth.

still participating here? :) That's a very well defined silhuetted set. Not easy to achieve... :)
Can't take my eyes from the thoughtfull guy in the back. A show of silhouettes dancing around him and yet without touching an inch of his own silhouette.

LOL - love reading your witty notes, Luko!
Now, after having read all the notes above me (before me,
depending on what page you are at the moment), I have to
admit not noticing the tilt at all before it was pointed
out.
Secondly, colour-wise I have no complaints at all, as I
think th ebalance achieved is just right.
And to finish with, the idea about silhouetting is excellent
and in this case very creative (read: well acomplished).
Eye-candy, that's for sure!
Merci,
Robi

Hi Luko,
I don't see any problems with the tilt,
anything is possible in a dream isn't it?
The three silouettes make you wonder about
each one of the subjects as they all seem
submerged in their thoughts. I believe the
composition was very effective and with a
good perspective. Nice play of contrasts.
Complimets and regards from Miami!

Gosh, Luko!
One of the best exemples of what street photography is all about: not only using the best of light conditions but also something should be going on in that very moment. And being brave to aim the cam, and...
Tremendous hard task and you accomplished with success.
Magic!

Dreamy indeed, the solid underexposure, the silver and slightly overexposed ocean all helping to portray that feeling. Just a few more of these types of images on this site and it would make it a lot easier for me to start participating again.

I like the color as well; spot on with the warm and lazy atmosphere. "The Thinking Men"----
