Photographer’s Note

In the beginning of October I spent 2 days in Tatra Mts. The first day was cold and rainy, but the second one was beautiful. During our route to Kasprowy Wierch the sun came out and the weather became really nice.

Despite beautiful weather some might say that the photo conditions were bad. Why? It was high noon, so the light was strong and sharp and I heared opinions that at that time you should do everything except taking pictures. But I couldn't resist ... it was my first time in Tatra Mts. and I was enchanted with beautiful views all around me. So I'm sorry, but I'm going to post few shots from this short trip.

Beautiful contrast between the white snow and the dark blue of the sky. Compo and POV are also excellent with this people and clouds that gives dynamism to the image and the tow wood houses giving extra color.

Lovely sharpness, a magical fairytale view, great pov. I like the whiteness and the depth of this vision. The inclusion of the people is a big plus too.

If it was really bright with the snow reflecting the sunlight, then all I can say is you achieved a superb exposure and/or did some great PP work for this photo. Great backlit shot, with the snow showing great detail, and good detail on the dark side of the house. Great perspective view looking up the track where the people are walking. Super shot. Well done.

If the light was very bright, you have coped with it extremely well.
I just love your low pov and the carefully executed composition.
The houses balance one another very well.

A wonderful winter's atmopshere. You have had really difficult light conditions here but you managed them more than well. Looking at this one you can feel the fresh air. I would like to step into this photo ... ;-)

The point of view, the clarity, the sharpness, the depth of field, the composition. Everything gathered for a superb picture, despite, as you said, the bad conditions.
The litlle silhouettes add life, the low clouds add depth and mystery.
I like Tatras, I'm happy to see Zakopane's country so well photographied.
