Hello friends in TE.

2008 has been very good with Trek sites as I learned so much from friends here in TE. I thank you all for all the critiques/comments on my posts. This will be my last 2008 post and hope to see you again in 2009.

This is my shot of Lake Garden in Taiping yesterday after breakfast on my work visit there. Surprising clear sky for the wettest area in Malaysia. Thanks for viewing.

Hello Jusni,
A good & calming atmosphere at the Lake Garden. Excellent reflections, colors, contrast, and saturation ... I would only reduce the noise selectively on the water. Bawa kamera dak? Masa Umrah dulu saya tak bawa ... kurang pasti kalau debenarkan bawa kamera ke masjid. Selamat Berhaji. Doa supaya tahun depan & kemudian lebih sejahtera. Salam. Latiff.

The lake and sky not so different with foreign views, but the species of trees are familliar, perfect reflection on the calm lake surface just like the mirror effect, thanks for sharing the local famous lake.

hopefully your last 2008 shot due to fantastic trip to some foreign land which we will admire when you return. :) You decided to leave us without your presense here with most stunning and wonderful photo! A huge teaser for wanting to see more! :) Absolutely fantastic scenery of most thin , almost onedimensional land on glass water surface. Breathtaking!

Hello Jusni,

You have captured amazing reflections of enviable sight. The contrasts between green and blue are really stunning with yellow trees. Calm atmosphere and your way adding part of tree branches to the frame is wonderful. Congratulations. Have a nice weekend.

Hi Jusni,
I have long heard of the beautiful lakes in Taiping, but I have never seen it with my own eyes until now. This is true magical. The reflection is like a mirror, perfectly still. Contrast between the blue sky and green landscape cant be better.
Your last post for 2008? Sounds like you are going for a long long year end holiday. Enjoy!

Superb scenery with this perfect calm reflection of the lake. Taiping is famous for its lake beauty. You have chosen a great moment to capture this POV.

The reflection is great here providing nice depth and balance for the shot. The overhanging tree frames the scene nicely while breaking up the symmetry. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

This is beautiful Jusni. The hanging branch from the tree drapes the scene quite well. The reflection is striking in this tranquil composition. My compliments...Danilo

Hi Jusni,

The reflections in the water of the lake are assets to the composition. The trees are a natural frame to the lake. The point of view leads our eyes toward the trees in the background. The picture is clear and sharp. the light is enhancing the colors. have a nice day.

Hello Jusni, I like the amazing reflections on the surface of the lake. It is almost like a mirror. You have a good PoV here. But, in my opinion it would be much better if the branches of the tree at the foreground do not touch the the trees on the other side. Regards to Malaysia, Tolga

Hi Jusni,
I know it is a cliché saying this, but take it as a compliment: it reminds a painting. It's the kind of image that would be great to cover a wall. The colours and clarity are gorgeous and you did a very clever and nice comp/framing, using the trees of the FG and the reflections on that amazingly still water to produce a great sense of depth and space. The little house is a great focal point and it couldn't be better placed.
