Religeous man Photo

Photographer’s Note

This photo is taken on the Lake Tana island in Ethiopia. This man was sitting near the monastery of Tana Kirkos. In the reflection of his 'glasses' you see the monastery. The people on the island are very religeous. They say that the Ark of the Covenant was here for 800 years to its removal to Axum.

Hallo Peter,
Beetje laat, maar toch nog van harte welkom op TE.
Een zeer sterk debuut hier, al was je eerste ook niet echt mis. Hier de expressie in zijn gezicht, die absurbe bril en je perfecte kadering en achtergrond maken dit tot een zeer sterk portret.
Ga gerust door met uploaden, want dit tesamen met je eerste is veelbelovend...

This is a wonderful portrait,tecnical perfect!!!!
The sharpness overall is amazing,there are many fine details to view at hid face ,beard and cloth.Great contrast with the green ,blurred background and nice reflections in his glasses.
I`m looking foreward to see more from you .

Dag Peter,
Wow! what a great portrait and what a great character. The reflection in his glasses is wonderful and adds to the wonderful detailing in the whole shot. Love that piece of string tied to his glasses and the yellow amber beads we can see sticking out of his clothing as well as the top of his walking stick...all these togeter with his expression and your composition make for a super shot.
