Photographer’s Note

I was on holiday in Norway in a little place called Opphiem a very small village were our hotel overlooked this lake,on this particular day it was really hot so we went for a walk around the lake taking in the wonderful scenery as we went.Towards the end of the walk yuo could look down the length of the lake to the mountains beyond and i thought this would be a good chance of a photo unfortunatly the sky is bit plane but i still think it mkes a good picture i hope you like it to i have sharpened slightly and changed the contrast +5

I like this shot, its nicely composed in a lovely light. What makes it for me is the tree on the right, played well against the distant mountains, gives a real 3D effect

Interesting composition to show the relaxing environment cover in greenery clumps, nice color of blue sky and water, hidden houses built near to water increase the peaceful feels in a village, thanks for sharing a nice place.

Hello Malcolm,

This is indeed a lovely place, nicely located by the lakeside and framed by mountains!
The image is well composed, balanced and with good details and the colourful houses stand out well...
However, I thought I know my county pretty well but I'm afraid I cannot recognize this place by name or by landscape so I'd appreciate if you could be a bit more specific?

What a lovely picturesque landscape. You did a great job composing the picture. The beautiful blue water leads the eye right in. Very nice colors, clarity, reflections. Excellent work!
