playing the "paparazza" Photo

Photographer’s Note

Göreme is maybe a small village, but the whole world is passing there... And sometimes, film crews as well... Provided I did not disturb, I could remain around there and the actors did not mind me shooting constantly at them ; not really my kind of photo though, I don't feel the soul of the paparazzis !

The second time that I could see the shooting of a film there : this time, a TV series called "Son Ağa" (NB : fun to watch, the beginning of this video clip !).

The 4 leading actors of that particular scene were having a 15 minutes break before another shooting sequence that would be shown the next day :
- the man on the left is part of the team shooting the film,
- next to him, Tamer Karadağlı (Salim),
- then Emel Müftüoğlu, also a singer (who is talking here),
- Feride Çetin, the young actress and
- Durul Bazan, smoking near the window.

(NB : they had placed on the balcony a very strong light projector which made this harsh light, this was in fact just after sunset).

Hi!
Great shot of very natural and realistic scene. People, smokes looks like a live. For me could be a better compo with a little cropped bottom.

Nice paparazzi work, Cath. I don't care about those TV series which usually have boring story lines with bland and dumb dialogues. Each is a disaster in screen writing. No smoking ban in Goreme, I suppose. The smoke do add to the atmosphere I admit. Hoscakal,

Quelques details que la lumiere a cree et que tu as tres bien su profiter. Et c'est la lumiere de cote: les cheveux da la fille tournee de dos, la fumee qui se plaise dans une atmosphere calme et la lumiere sur la table. De l'autre cote, la meme lumiere a brule la fenaitre. La source artificielle brise la montonie chromatique. La resolution me semble elvee, donc ta position n'est tres eloignee et tu joue un photographe "normal". D'apres moi, le theme de cette belle photo est le calme a la table. Et je souligne, c'est une belle photo que les participants aimeraient avoir dans leurs albums comme souvenir et de montrer au monde que cette photo est signee par Noborders. Bonjour Catherine,

Tu travailles pour les journeaux people turc ;-)
Prise de vue a la dérobé, petit grain dans l image, les visages séparés, un peu de flou sur les mains. Tous les ingredients sont la.
J aime bien le titre que tu as donné a cette photo et ta note explique bien le pourquoi du comment.

Bonjour,
belle photo de ces gens attablés, jolies couleurs , bonne netteté, la fumée est bien visible et l' extraction a l' air bonne car elle monte directement vers le haut.

This is beautiful Cath...the rising cigerette smoke, the light from outside the window creating a halo effect on the girl's hair...looks more like a painting here. One thing I wish was not there was the railing in the FG, but I don't think you could have done anything about. Good work Cath!

If i had to choose between these two - this one is my preference, even though the other one is still one of the best shots I've seen on TE - if it comes to the 'stolen stills' from the movie set, or from the modeling in the streets

But, this one is a delicioso...
The smoke in there...Those faces...

I'd fool around a bit with cropping, though...
