From the era of wooden houses and sepia photography (see Cast back in time - I) moving forward in time. Also this street shot is taken on the island Östermalm. The building dates from the 1920's. This can be concluded from the whole window-frame in the uncropped picture. Regarding the car... It's a Saab... I can only say that my passion for cars reaches as far as my passion for football. Less than a inch if I had to estimate that ;-)

While passing this scenery I got attracted by a few things and started to correlate the following:
-Static vs Dynamic (the Building vs the Car)
-Squared areas vs Rounded shapes (the Facade's details vs the Car and the Stones)

Not only I found that there was a repeating colour tone in this scenery but it also set my mind back a decade or four... The rounded stones for instance date back from the time that horses were the most common transportation for people in streets like this. Pavements made of rounded stones provide a better grip for horses while they passed through these steep streets.

...well, others may see only a car in front of a house ;)
