Photographer’s Note
One of the most fascinating parts of the city of Cambridge is the green area behind the colleges, known as "The Backs". It's a wonderful and peaceful landscape, the river Cam winds it way through the park landscape and you can see people punting on the river, while scholars and students walk on the footpaths. A very quiet and serene contrast to the busier city life on the other side of the colleges.
Like my photograph of King's College, this one was taken just before the rain started. The special light on the building provides a strong contrast with the dark sky.

Hi Bert,
The calm is indeed emanating from the photograph. You can feel it. I like it very much in your photograph.
On the technical side, it seems to me that the college is overexposed, which is unfortunate. And isn't the photograph tilting slightly to the left?
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Peter.

Hello Bert,
A very nice view of this College. The light offers a huge contrast with the sky!!
The automnal colours are present and add a lovely mood to your composition.
It is probably nice to have a walk along the river. The path creates a nice perspective.
Cheers,
Marianne
