Photographer’s Note
Taken in Mongkok, Hong Kong in a busy afternoon.
In Hong Kong, street markets are slowly being replaced by large air-conditioned supermarket chains. Prices in those supermarkets are sometimes cheaper, but there is worry that when these supermarkets dominate more and more of the market, they will be in a position to raise prices without competitors to check them.
Thus I am always happy to give business to such street markets when I can. In particular fresh produce like vegetables as seen in the right foreground.

Excellent composition here, Mark. Colors are good, lots of depth. Good capture of this bustling market. Here in the states, we have the same trend of large chains replacing what are called "mom & pop" stores, so I too try to do business with smaller businesses when I can.

I like that picture, it's not that easy to take a picture in the crowd. The composition is really good.I can feel the atmosphere.
