Photographer’s Note
In the national park Torres del Paine, in the far south of Chile, nature is wild but not untouched. Human influence increases from year to year due to the rising interest of tourists. From time to time disasters like forest fires happen. Luckily the trees shown in the photograph have not been burnt by one of these fires but the remains of others were only coal-black trunks...
Technical note: I made this photograph with a medium format camera on film. After development I scanned the negative with an Epson scanner. Corrections include sharpening, resizing and adding a border. All done in XNView.
