"The Saadian tombs in Marrakech date back from the time of the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur (1578-1603). The tombs were only recently discovered (in 1917) and were restored by the Beaux-arts service. The tombs have, because of the beauty of their decoration, been a major attraction for visitors of Marrakech.
The mausoleum comprises the corpses of about sixty members of the Saadi Dynasty that originated in the valley of the Draa River. Among the tombs are those of Ahmad al-Mansur and his family. The building is composed of three rooms. The most famous is the room with the twelve columns. This room contains the tomb of the son of the sultan's son Ahmad al-Mansur. The stele is in finely worked cedar wood and stucco work. The graves are made of Italian Carrara marble.
Outside the building is a garden and the graves of soldiers and servants." (Wikipedia.org)
The sidewalks in the garden are arranged with multicolored tiles. Only the tiles to photograph was a little interesting. Thus the cat was added.

A great capture of this cute little fellow who looks perfect against the mosaic floor. Superb tones and textures. Good idea to include the cat, I like it.

funny lovely photo!:)) Amazing combination of colours of the tile and the cat's colours. They match each other perfectly. Excellent shot, very well balanced colours; and a very cute cat!

Is it true that these cats change colour, chameleon like, to blend in with the tiles? ;)
Somehow you've managed to convey more than just a little cat - more than one aspect of the detail which can be found "under your feet" in this location.

I see that there are still cats inside the Saadian tombs.
There are also still on the ground, this beautiful tiles, that your photo shows very well.

really cute little cat in the middle of the graphic pattern. I love the way its fur matches the colours of the few ochre tiles.

Hi Wolf you have found a cunning way to sneak a cat onto TE, he he.You have framed the tiles to make an interesting and attractively pattern and ,yes, the little pussy cat does add interest and charm. This reminds me of how often that one feels that a shot of some interesting object needs some added 'humanizing' and how often I wait in the hope that an interesting or attractive person (or cat0 will appear in the right place. So, often, some unrelated character makes the shot. regards kevin

I like the graphic pattern of the floor and your shot from high angle to show the diagonal squares and diamonds. The cat's color is really blending very well with the pattern and color tone of the steps.
So good that the cat is looking your way. tfs

She looks not much more than a kitten; perfect to adorn the graphic pattern of the tiles.

I would like that so much, a cat having a good time on my tomb...love them. Great capture, a mix of colors, graphism and tenderness, a cute little cat, not intimated. Very good POV, my compliments.

I see that you have been in Morocco too, and that you have took one picture practicaly the same as mee, but just in Marrakech and not in Fes... ;-)
I like a lot your composition and the perfect focus on the eyes of the cat, and the slighty out of focus of the sidewalk, giving a perfect depth.

What a marvellous image!
The kitten is really sweet but it's the background, skilfully selected by you that really makes it as it provides both additional interest and a sense of place.
