Photographer’s Note

The Wallkill River flows north through New Paltz and meets the Rondout Creek which flows into the Hudson River at Kingston, NY. The foliage along the river provides a beautiful and restful setting.

I waiting until the sunrise was above the horizon to capture the colors of the blue sky and also to get a better reflection.

There is a very tranquil feel to this picture. I like how there is a hint of mist rising from the far side of the river. Also the trees and their reflection seem to be forming a nice V shape. Good work.

Hi Jorge,
The morning mist on the lovely Rondout blends beautifully with the autumn colors to make for a most tranquil scene.
The line of trees in fall color make a striking reflection in the placid surface of the creek.

Very nice shot of calm still water reflection for diagonal composition of the trees. I like the light behind the row of trees at the left.

Great perspective - it virtually draws you into the picture. Very calm and subtle atmosphere with the little bit of mist and the more colourful foliage in the background. Great job!
