One of the Shin Laungs, or novice monk, with his toy gun eyeing other toy guns on sale. Immediately after their ceremony, the boys quickly shed their costumes, picked up their toy guns and played soldiers, emulating the adults. The adults refers to their own private tribes army, surrounding the villages and protecting their own tribes. I stayed in the village for 3 days, and they've all been friendly to me. They patrol and guard the villages with real weapons of course. It is of little wonder perhaps why the most popular toys here are : Toy guns..........
